Construction Manager

💼 The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of major works.

This is a key leadership role within a highly regulated nuclear environment, responsible for overseeing construction activities from planning through to delivery-ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and cost targets.

🔍 What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary construction activities across site

• Provide constructability input during early project phases, including risk identification

• Drive delivery against programme, cost, quality, and safety targets

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring effective coordination between teams

• Lead risk management and readiness reviews prior to execution

• Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, nuclear safety standards, and site licence conditions

• Manage contractors and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships

• Monitor performance and implement improvements to optimise delivery

✅ What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Proven experience delivering construction projects in highly regulated environments

• Strong background in nuclear, defence, or high-hazard industries

• Demonstrable experience leading complex construction delivery and site teams

• Strong understanding of CDM regulations and nuclear safety culture

Qualifications & Certifications

• NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management (or equivalent)

• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)

• NEBOSH qualification

• CSCS Black Card

• Professional membership (e.g. CIOB) desirable

Site Requirements

• P4 Pass Holder

• SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)

• Sellafield site experience highly desirable

• Experience working in R2/C2 environments preferred
