Role Information
An excellent opportunity has become available for an EC&I Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering projects within highly regulated industries. This role offers the chance to work across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for producing high-quality Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) designs while ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations. This position is ideal for an engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise within complex and challenging project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver EC&I design solutions throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning.
- Produce EC&I design documentation, calculations, specifications, and drawings in accordance with project standards and procedures.
- Coordinate, plan, and deliver engineering design activities to meet project schedules and requirements.
- Support the development of innovative and practical engineering solutions within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines to achieve integrated project delivery.
- Contribute to technical reviews, design assurance activities, and project meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of best engineering practices.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- BEng (Hons) Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience delivering EC&I engineering designs within industrial or highly regulated environments.
- Experience working on Nuclear sites or within other highly regulated industries is desirable.
- Familiarity with AMTECH ProDesign or similar cable calculation software.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD design software.
- Experience working on BIM-enabled projects is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
UK National Security Vetting Status
Ability to gain SC Clearance is required for this role.
