Job Type: Contract - 18 Month duration
Location: Aldermaston / Reading
Working Pattern: Hybrid - approximately 60% site based
IR35: Inside IR35
Rate: £63.57 per hour Umbrella / £47.87 per hour PAYE
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex projects within a highly regulated and security-focused environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Project Manager who can take ownership of projects, work effectively with complex organisations and supply chains, and drive delivery across schedule, cost, quality, risk and security.
The successful candidate will be expected to quickly understand project requirements, take ownership and work proactively to deliver projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Lead project planning and coordinate resources across people, budget and delivery activities.
- Establish and maintain project baselines, monitoring performance and initiating change where required.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and the wider supply chain.
- Drive project delivery while managing complexity, cost, schedule and risk.
- Support delivery through construction and commissioning activities where required.
- Engage extensively with the supply chain to ensure effective project delivery.
- Operate with a strong security mindset within a complex organisational environment.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in complex projects and construction-related environments.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering complex projects from planning through to completion.
- NEC contract management experience.
- Experience working through the construction phase, ideally with a relevant CSCS card.
- A background within the security industry, with experience of areas such as hostile vehicle mitigation or related security infrastructure.
- Experience working within a large or complex organisation.
- The ability to quickly understand requirements, take ownership and drive projects forward.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- A technology or engineering background, ideally within electrical, rail, signalling or Underground environments.
