Contract Type: Hybrid

Duration: Ongoing

Location: Leiston, Suffolk

Pay Rate: £300 PAYE OR £420 UMB (p/d)

Background Checks: Screening and BPSS

Hours: 40 hours

Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer (Civils) to join the Sizewell C team, one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure projects. You will support the delivery of quality assurance and quality control activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring contractors and suppliers meet all required quality standards and project requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

    • Support QA/QC activities across civil construction works.
    • Review and monitor contractor quality plans and project documentation.
    • Coordinate and participate in audits, inspections, surveillance, and testing activities.
    • Support the management of non-conformances and corrective actions.
    • Assist with supplier quality assurance and governance activities.
    • Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality records.
    • Work closely with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure work is delivered right first time.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles.
  • Experience working within construction, nuclear, engineering, or other safety-critical industries.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify issues, drive improvements, and promote quality best practices.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control environment.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing quality-related issues.
  • Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
  • Nuclear sector experience desirable but not essential.
  • IRCA Auditor qualification and knowledge of NDT/NDE, Welding, or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
