Are you looking to develop your project management career on one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects?
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a major nuclear construction programme at Hinkley Point C. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers, supporting the delivery of critical engineering and construction work packages within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
This role offers exposure to large-scale project delivery, multidisciplinary teams and industry-leading project management practices.
The Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll provide support across the full lifecycle of major contracts, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You'll work closely with Project Managers, engineers, commercial teams, construction, procurement and project controls to coordinate activities and drive successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of project and contract work packages from initiation through to completion.
- Coordinate with engineering, commercial, procurement, construction and project controls teams.
- Assist with planning, scheduling and tracking project progress.
- Prepare project documentation, reports and management information.
- Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring actions are recorded and followed through.
- Support document control and project governance processes.
- Maintain accurate records and auditable project documentation.
- Assist with budget monitoring and reporting.
- Support supplier engagement and contract administration.
- Promote collaborative working across multidisciplinary teams.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience supporting projects within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with project schedules, documentation and reporting.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
