Role information
The Controls Engineer is responsible for managing control system related projects, as well as providing technical analysis and support for service contracts and product upgrades. Working closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of control systems whilst ensuring compliance with company and safety standards.
- Coordinate control system developments and implement modifications to gas turbine control logic.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade control system hardware, including processors, I/O cards, and network infrastructure.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to plant operations and maintenance teams.
- Support and supervise suppliers throughout project execution.
- Specify, plan, and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Investigate and resolve process control issues, providing technical input to multidisciplinary service teams.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including manuals, test procedures, and reports.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Support product upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of process control principles and methodologies.
- Experience in control system programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to analyse technical information, draw conclusions, and implement effective solutions to process control issues.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality results within agreed time and cost targets
