Position: Principal Nuclear Safety Case
Location: Warrington or Abingdon (flexible with location)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 days home working

An exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Safety Principal Consultant to support the delivery of nuclear safety projects across a range of nuclear facilities and lifecycle stages.

The role will involve producing and reviewing safety documentation, providing technical guidance within multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting clients through various stages of project delivery and governance. You will work closely with engineers, human factors specialists, and other technical disciplines to develop clear and well-structured safety justifications in line with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Producing and reviewing nuclear safety documentation and safety cases
Ensuring work is delivered to a high technical standard, within agreed deadlines and budgets
Providing technical oversight, checking, and verification of safety documentation
Supporting client and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery
Assisting with governance and approval processes
Collaborating with internal teams to support business growth and identify future opportunities
Requirements
Around 8+ years of relevant engineering or nuclear safety experience
Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
Experience developing safety cases within regulated industries
Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge of areas such as:
Decommissioning
Radioactive Waste
Transport
Licensing
Human Factors
Optioneering

The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK, and be willing to undergo a security vetting process.
