Interface Engineer
Role: Interface Engineer
Position: Contract
Location: London (Hybrid Working Available)
Duration: Rolling 12 Months
The Opportunity
The Interface Engineer will be a key player within the Civil Works Programme (CWP), valued at around £9bn. You'll work across the three sub-programmes (Enabling & Earthworks, Main Civils & Ancillary Works, and Marine & Tunnelling), supporting integration with other key SZC areas including Site Delivery, Nuclear Island, and Conventional Island.
What We're Looking For
✅ Essential:
- Proven experience in interface management on large infrastructure or engineering projects
- On-site experience and understanding of construction standards, expectations, and delivery approaches
- Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial issues clearly to stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with an understanding of large programme schedules
- Experience with managing and resolving cross-functional interface issues
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination capabilities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
✅ Desirable:
- Previous experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with Integrated Work Schedules (IWS) and Milestone Definition Sheets (IMDS)
- Knowledge of major civil engineering delivery within government-backed megaprojects
