Rullion is proud to partner with one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects - Hinkley Point C - to recruit a Construction Logistics Area Lead. This is a pivotal leadership role within the HPC Logistics Team, supporting the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of critical materials to one of the UK's first new nuclear power stations in over 20 years.
As part of a world-class delivery team, you'll be responsible for managing the construction logistics for a designated area of the site-ensuring the seamless flow of materials, managing third-party logistics (3PL) teams, and aligning logistics performance with construction priorities
Principal Accountabilities
* Lead the area-specific Construction Logistics team, managing day-to-day logistics operations.
* Ensure the right materials are delivered at the right place and time to support site progress.
* Collaborate with planning, site ops, and suppliers to avoid disruption and maximise efficiency.
* Drive performance improvements, resolve issues in real-time, and uphold compliance.
* Ensure high standards in safety, reporting, and KPI achievement.
* Coach and mentor direct reports and 3PL teams, promoting a positive safety culture.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience in construction logistics, materials handling or supply chain management on major infrastructure projects (e.g., nuclear, energy, rail, highways, defence).
* Proven leadership in fast-paced, high-complexity environments.
* Strong understanding of logistics systems, workflows, and performance management.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across planning, delivery, and construction teams.
* Adept at driving process improvement and coaching cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with regulated environments (nuclear or similarly high-compliance industries) is highly desirable.
