Quantity Surveyor

Job title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary Range: £40,000pa to £55,000pa
Benefits Package: Package available
Location: Lewisham, New Cross, SE London
Full Site Based/Hybrid/Remote Working: Fully site based - 5 days per week
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week

Role information:
- The role requires a commercially aware and detail-focused individual who can work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients while maintaining strong commercial governance

Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction, engineering, infrastructure or major projects environment.
- Good working knowledge of contract administration, change management and commercial procedures.
- Experience preparing or supporting CVRs, cost forecasts, cash flow forecasts and commercial reports.
- Experience of working on NEC3/4, JCT & FIDIC contracts.
- Experience managing variations / compensation events / change control.
- Experience with subcontract procurement and subcontract account management.
- Ability to assess valuations, applications for payment and commercial entitlement.
- Strong understanding of cost control and budget management.
- Ability to identify commercial risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, auditable records.
- Good understanding of contractual obligations and commercial processes.
- Ability to work effectively with project, engineering, planning, HSE and commercial teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
