Contract Manager - Offshore Wind

📍 Hybrid - Durham or Edinburgh (1-2 days per week in office)
💰 Up to £700/day Inside IR35 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Manager to support a major offshore wind programme within a leading energy organisation. This role will play a key part in managing commercial and contractual activities across offshore wind operations and associated supply chain activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in renewables, offshore wind, energy, or highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, looking to join a fast-paced and collaborative project environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts and supplier relationships across offshore wind activities, ensuring commercial performance, compliance, and successful contract delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial and contractual activities across offshore wind projects
  • Negotiating commercial terms and supporting supplier selection processes
  • Ensuring timely contract awards and effective contract administration
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Supporting ongoing operational and asset management activities
  • Providing commercial advice and support to the wider business
  • Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Supporting procurement governance and compliance activities
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and cost savings within the supply chain
  • Contributing to sustainable and ethical procurement initiatives

Requirements

Candidates should ideally demonstrate:

  • Strong experience within Contract Management, Procurement, or Commercial Management
  • Previous experience within offshore wind or wider renewable energy projects preferred
  • Candidates from energy, utilities, infrastructure, or nuclear backgrounds will also be considered
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex contracts
  • Strong understanding of procurement and contract management principles
  • Experience administering development, construction, or operational contracts
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement effectively
  • Knowledge of SAP/IFS or similar systems would be advantageous
  • Relevant qualification in commercial, engineering, legal, or business disciplines beneficial

  • Hybrid working arrangement with flexibility around Durham or Edinburgh office attendance
  • Immediate start available
  • Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
  • Competitive day rate available depending on experience
