Pay rate: £17.57 per hour PAYE, Umbrella rates available

Location: Heysham

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

The successful candidate will support the Performance Improvement team with both planned and ad hoc data coordination to inform stakeholder decisions and actions. As part of the Business Support Team the individual will also support with general administrative tasks.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Strong IT and administrative skills, including document and data management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Quick to learn new systems, processes, and technologies
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
  • Experience or interest in data management / business intelligence analytics
  • Flexible to work additional hours when required

Role information:

  • Collect, validate, and maintain operational and performance data from multiple site systems and stakeholders
  • Update Excel-based reports, dashboards, and trackers to support the Performance Improvement team
  • Analyse data trends and highlight anomalies or inconsistencies to support decision-making
  • Coordinate the timely submission and consolidation of data inputs from various departments across site
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity in line with site procedures and regulatory standards
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing packs for internal stakeholders
  • Assist in tracking performance metrics, KPIs, and improvement actions across the station
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accurate outputs
  • Support continuous improvement by streamlining data processes and reporting methods
  • Provide general administrative support to the Business Support Team, including document management and meeting coordination
  • Ensure all documentation and data handling complies with nuclear site standards and governance requirements
  • Provide additional support during outage periods, including extended hours where required
