Are you an experienced Bid Manager with a passion for winning work and leading high‑performing bid teams? We're working with a leading name in civil engineering and infrastructure, to recruit a Bid Manager to play a key role in securing major projects across the UK.
Please note this is an office based role, with the flexibility after probation to work flexibly from home 1 day per week.
The Role
As Bid Manager, you'll take ownership of end‑to‑end tender opportunities, driving winning strategies and providing clear leadership across multidisciplinary teams. You'll be central to shaping commercial and quality submissions, ensuring governance compliance, and delivering high‑quality tenders that support long‑term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and energise bid teams to deliver successful tender outcomes
- Develop and implement coherent bid strategies alongside Business Development and senior stakeholders
- Manage tender programmes, budgets, governance, and approvals
- Oversee commercial strategy, risk and opportunity management
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including kick‑off, settlement, and client interviews
- Act as the key communication link with clients, partners, designers, and the supply chain
- Ensure high‑quality, compliant submissions are delivered on time
- Manage tender feedback and oversee handover to project delivery teams
About You
- Strong knowledge of the UK construction and civil engineering market
- Proven experience (3 years minimum) managing complex bids and tender processes
- Commercially astute, with knowledge of multiple forms of contract
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with governance frameworks and corporate approval processes
- Proactive, collaborative, and driven to deliver results
