Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to support the review, assessment, and replacement of existing communications infrastructure, with a particular focus on satellite and radio transmission technologies.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong telecommunications background, who can bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear requirements, robust processes, and a future-fit communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current communications infrastructure, including satellite and radio transmission systems
Lead technical assessments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to the creation of a technical strategy paper for communications transformation
Support the replacement and modernisation of existing communications strategy
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive informed decision-making
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in telecommunications and communications infrastructure
- Experience working with satellite and radio transmission communications
- Proven ability to gather and document business requirements
- Experience in process mapping and operational process design
- Ability to conduct technical assessments and translate findings into actionable insights
- Experience contributing to or developing technical strategy documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working on communications transformation or infrastructure replacement programmes
- Exposure to large-scale or regulated environments
