Britain is delivering its next generation of nuclear power.
Hinkley Point C is a £multi-billion megaproject - a civil engineering operation on a scale rarely seen in the UK. Deep excavations. Reinforced concrete structures. Complex interfaces. Nuclear safety governance layered over high-volume construction.
We are now recruiting a Civils Construction Delivery Lead to take ownership of defined sections of the works and ensure delivery is safe, high quality, on schedule and fully aligned to nuclear standards.
This is not a desk-based role.
This is site leadership.
Principal Accountabilities
As Civils Construction Delivery Lead, you will:
- Lead and coordinate contractor delivery on a designated area of works
- Ensure activities are delivered in line with contract requirements and approved method statements
- Drive adherence to Nuclear Safety Culture and HPC quality expectations
- Oversee reinforced concrete works, structural elements, earthworks and civils interfaces
- Identify and resolve site delivery risks before they escalate
- Interface daily with Quality, Engineering, Planning and HSE teams
- Challenge performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Escalate non-conformance and support resolution through formal processes
- You will operate at the frontline between design intent and physical delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
We want leaders from major infrastructure environments such as:
- Nuclear new build
- Water & Wastewater treatment plants
- Energy from Waste / Biomass
- Petrochemical & Chemical facilities
- Pharmaceutical construction
- Major highways / rail / heavy civils
You will likely have:
- Strong experience delivering large-scale reinforced concrete structures
- Knowledge of civil/mechanical interfaces
- Experience managing Tier 1 or major subcontractors
- A track record of working within NEC or similar contract frameworks
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing and safe systems of work
- Ability to operate effectively within high-governance, safety-critical environments
- A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering is highly desirable, but demonstrable large-project delivery experience is essential.
Are you ready to be part of a project that's reshaping the energy landscape of the UK? This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on the construction of Hinkley Point C. If you have the skills and experience to lead this challenging endeavour, we want to hear from you.
