We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Specialist (Lifting Operations) to act as the single accountable authority for lifting assurance across sites. You will lead on lifting governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert oversight of complex and heavy lifting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and act as the primary point of contact for lifting operations.
  • Standardise lifting governance and ensure compliance with Safe to Start and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain lifting policy, procedures, and documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans and contract lift documentation.
  • Oversee and supervise complex/heavy lifts when required.
  • Support assurance activities (L1, L2 & L3).
  • Train and mentor a designated staff member to Appointed Person competency level.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and supervising complex lifting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting legislation and safety standards.
  • Experience reviewing technical and contract lift documentation.
  • Demonstrable assurance experience.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable

  • LEEA membership or equivalent professional body.
  • Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) qualification.
  • Experience in Defence or high-security environments.
