About the Role

Our prestigious retail client is seeking a highly experienced Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to join there team during a critical budgeting period. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced, complex retail environment.

As Financial Planning and Reporting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our financial planning and reporting operations, working closely with Finance Business Partners and providing oversight to our team of analysts during our busy budgeting cycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and reporting activities during our intensive budgeting period
  • Provide high-level review and oversight of monthly reporting cycles
  • Work collaboratively with Finance Business Partners across the organisation
  • Manage and mentor finance analysts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Dive deep into financial data using advanced Excel skills to ensure robust analysis
  • Communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels
  • Support complex, multisite business operations with strategic financial guidance

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Extensive budgeting experience - this is critical for the role
  • Proven track record in financial planning and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and modelling
  • Experience working in a complex, multisite business environment
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience overseeing finance teams
  • Excellent communication skills - comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
