Senior Social Content Creator
Manages creation of (and/or creates) social-specific content for all social media platforms that strengthens brand storytelling, engages target audiences, and supports marketing and campaign objectives. This role will act as a hands-on creative expert within the team, producing and shaping content that is native to each channel and aligned with brand values and tone.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation & optimisation
* Oversee social content production process from inception to delivery, often creating content from scratch, working alongside other teams and creatives to leverage their work for social use.
* Set the creative standard for the team; guide junior creators or freelance partners; ensure all content is brand-appropriate and high quality.
* Partner with analytics to review content performance; adapt creative strategies based on insight and feedback.
* Continuous experimentation with new formats and styles.
Planning & strategy
* Contribute to campaign planning from a social-first perspective
* Deliver creative assets in support of major campaigns and always-on storytelling.
* Monitor cultural moments and trends to create reactive or opportunistic content that drives relevance.
Cross-functional collaboration
* Work closely with marketing managers, brand, PR, paid media, and digital teams to ensure integrated execution and storytelling. Co-create where needed.
* Ensure adherence to brand, legal, compliance and platform guidelines.
* Maintain asset libraries and naming standards.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* 5+ years in a social media content creation or digital creative role, in-house or agency side (retail or FMCG preferred).
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar. Strong video editing and visual storytelling capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to write compelling social copy in a brand tone of voice, adapted per platform.
* Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts and their best practices, trends and nuances.
* Ability to shoot, edit and publish content independently, or brief production partners effectively.
* Strong organisational skills; can manage multiple priorities, timelines and stakeholders.
* Strong copywriting skills and a good eye for what makes content pop
* Confidence behind the camera and in front of it, when needed
* Some experience in social media creative tools like CapCut, Canva and Edits
Desirable
* Experience in agile ways of working and/or matrix environments
* Experience working in large, complex retail organisations or supermarkets
* Comfortable using campaign dashboards and interpreting performance data
