Project Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Smart Infrastructure Electrification & Automation Customer Services Team For our global leading client. You will have the opportunity to build this brand-new role which is critical to our ambitious growth plans. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects which fall under the portfolio of EA Customer Services Business. This role will allow you to set up the new processes and business systems that will underpin your work.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about customer service and can confidently balance multiple service projects.
Location: Hebburn (Tyne and Wear) with the opportunity to work remotely for 2 days per week.
What are your responsibilities?
- Accept projects, handle project schedules, and key dates, to ensure projects are delivered on time and as per tendered scope to support wider business resource loading analysis and actively seeking to increase gross margin performance.
- Support the Senior Project Manager with the successful implementation of the Project management Strategy.
- Facilitate the project life cycle in line with the PM client processes, establishing project quality controls, to the highest standards with compliance in all activities.
- Provide programs and resource / staff requirements for Fields Team as the need arises seeking advice as vital.
- Management of customer requirements to increase the project scope through effective variation control to agreed terms & conditions of contract.
- Make full use of the Non-conformance reporting (NCR) tool ensuring all project related NCR's are closed out in a timely manner and NCC are collected.
- Maintain and be responsible for high standards of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment - including reporting of all accidents, incidents and serious near misses, including any follow-up investigations and actions as the need arises.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and operations expertise to the project team for delivering the project safely to meet the business aims and objectives.
You're excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
- Preferably a Degree/HND or equivalent experience in electrical or electronic engineering, product design or engineering technology. Or, you may have gained your expertise through learning on the job. Either would be suitable. Experience is essential
- Experience of leading a multi-skilled field-based team ideally in an electrical transmission & distribution projects/switchgear service delivery organisation
- Good solid understanding of utility and industrial standards covering all market verticals
- Good understanding of problem solving and improvement techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft packages and document control systems
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
