Job Purpose / Overview
Join one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. It's a landmark project that will power nearly 6 million homes, cut carbon emissions, and support the UK's journey to net zero. As part of this once-in-a-generation build, we are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Delivery Manager (Night Shift) to lead and drive delivery across a critical section of the project.

Principal Accountabilities
As a Senior Construction Delivery Manager (SCDM), you will:
* Lead and manage a team of Construction Delivery Managers to drive safe, high-quality delivery of works packages during night shift operations.
* Act as the subject matter expert for your designated discipline (Civil or MEH).
* Support contractors in delivering on programme commitments while proactively identifying risks and implementing recovery measures.
* Take ownership of logistics planning, coordination, and on-site facilitation to keep construction activities running smoothly.
* Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders, including project controls, health & safety, quality, logistics, and contract partners.
* Conduct inspections, assurance audits, and safety reviews, escalating issues with solutions where required.
* Act as Duty Construction Manager on a rota basis and support emergency response responsibilities when required.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for a team of Construction Delivery Managers.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for driven and resilient leaders with the ability to thrive in a complex, high-pressure environment. To succeed, you'll need:
Essential:
* Proven experience in large-scale construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management.
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and Health & Safety practices.
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage contractors, mitigate risks, and keep projects on schedule.
* SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated sectors.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, IMechE, IStructE, etc.).
* Experience managing delivery in high-security environments.
