Role: Supply Chain Manager
Position: Contract
Location: Durham, 2 days/week on site
Day rate: up to £500/day DOE
Duration: Initially 5 Months possibility of extension
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to lead and support our procurement and inventory teams. In this role, you will develop supply chain strategies, manage key suppliers, and ensure the efficient procurement and management of goods and services across our operational assets-including wind, solar, and battery technologies.
You'll also play a key role in mitigating supply chain risk, managing obsolescence, and optimising inventory systems to meet the demands of a growing renewables portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and inventory teams, driving a proactive and solutions-focused culture.
- Develop procurement strategies, identify key suppliers, and manage long-term supply chain risk.
- Support and coach your team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Oversee procurement processes and inventory systems across diverse renewable technologies.
- Lead framework agreements, governance, and compliance reviews.
- Conduct market analysis and deliver insights to inform business decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
We're looking for a motivated leader with a strong procurement and supply chain background.
- Proven experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally in an operational or industrial setting.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of contract law.
- UK residents only.
