Job Title: Facility Supervisor
Location: Thurso, Scotland (full-time onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Start date: subject to clearance
37 hours / 7.4 hour days
Overview:
A Facility Supervisor is required to support ongoing operations within a controlled site environment. This role will involve supervising daily activities, supporting safety and compliance initiatives, and working closely with project teams to ensure smooth delivery of operational and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all activities within designated facility areas
Act as building supervisor and support the Facility Manager in day-to-day operations
Prepare and manage safety documentation and work control processes
Assist in planning, risk assessment, and scheduling of facility activities
Monitor and evaluate contractor performance, applying STOP work principles when required
Contribute to regular project updates, reports, and operational reviews
Participate in emergency response responsibilities and relevant exercises
Carry out specific site duties such as Permit to Work issuer, Radiation Protection Supervisor, or other designated roles
Provide line management support to operational staff when required
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in plant operations or industrial facilities, ideally within regulated sectors
Strong working knowledge of safety procedures and work control systems
Previous involvement in managing or supporting assay systems is desirable
Excellent communication, documentation, and contractor oversight skills
