Are you ready to be part of something truly transformative?

We're working with one of the most ambitious and future-focused energy programmes on the planet - an initiative set to unlock limitless, clean, safe energy through nuclear fusion. At the heart of this mission is a groundbreaking project to design and deliver the UK's first prototype fusion energy plant, with a view to full commercial delivery by 2040.

To power this next phase, we're on the lookout for an experienced Talent Acquisition Business Partner to play a key role in shaping and delivering a forward-thinking, high-impact recruitment strategy.

🌟 About the Opportunity
This isn't just another TA role. You'll be joining at a pivotal time, helping to build the foundations of a brand-new company spun out from a globally respected organisation. You'll report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager and have real influence over the way the business attracts, secures, and retains the very best talent in the fusion sector and beyond.

You'll lead full lifecycle recruitment, workforce planning, talent pooling, onboarding and EVP strategy - while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, engineering partners, and government-backed programmes.

This is a rare chance to leave your mark on a programme with global significance, shaping the future of energy, science, and industry.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing
* Lead end-to-end recruitment across multiple disciplines - from engineering to strategic functions.
* Develop and implement creative sourcing and workforce planning strategies for hard-to-fill, niche roles.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, hiring managers and external partners.
* Champion equality, diversity and inclusion in all recruitment activity.
* Shape and embed a compelling employer brand and employee value proposition.
* Improve systems, processes and reporting, using data insights to continuously optimise performance.
* Drive onboarding strategies that reflect a strong and supportive culture.
* Support the People function in developing a future-ready talent framework in line with long-term programme goals.

✅ What You'll Bring
Must-haves:
* Proven experience in senior-level talent acquisition, ideally within complex or technical environments.
* Track record of sourcing for specialist or hard-to-fill roles.
* Strong knowledge of recruitment compliance and ED&I best practice.
* Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both strategically and operationally, often at pace.
* Experience building and maintaining a strong employer brand.
* Comfortable using data to influence decision-making.

Nice-to-haves:
* CIPD Level 5 or similar qualification.
* Previous experience in a government or public sector setting.
* Experience supporting the set-up of new teams or organisations from the ground up.
* Background in energy, science, defence, infrastructure or technology sectors.

🙌 Why Join?
* Be part of a national programme with global impact.
* Join a purpose-led team focused on innovation, sustainability and inclusion.
* Shape the people strategy of a brand-new organisation.
* Work alongside leading scientists, engineers and visionaries.
* Help build a cleaner, safer, more energy-secure future for all.
