Invoice Matching Advisor (Food Department)

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Manchester City Centre
Contract: 4 Months Temporary
Salary: £15.00 per hour PAYE
Working Shift: Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm, Hybrid 2 Days in the office, Wednesday and Thursday
Training: 1 to 2 weeks (Virtual Team Training)

Our client is recruiting for an Advisor to join their Invoice Matching team to ensure all payments made to their Food suppliers are accurate and paid on time.

You'll be working within the wider Business Services (CBS) organisation, which consists of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective business services across the company.

In this role, you'll play a key part in helping CBS support and achieve the group's vision of 'co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day'.

We'll look to you to resolve queries, build relationships with internal and external partners, and make sure that invoices are always correct. It's a great opportunity for you to develop your skills as part of a busy team.

What you'll do

* Process invoices that don't go through the automated system, find and fix errors, and resubmit them in SAP.
* Handle invoice mismatches without purchase orders, resolving differences between stock received and invoice details, and manage related claims or payments.
* Work through backlog invoices to keep processes running smoothly.
* Escalate purchase order issues to the right internal teams, without contacting suppliers directly.
* Use Excel to check and reconcile invoices for accurate payments.
* Support cyber recovery tasks and provide help with specific jobs, including on-the-job coaching.
* Pay close attention to detail, especially when working in SAP systems like SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC 6.
* Use your experience with SAP and ERP systems to resolve invoice issues efficiently.

This role would suit people who have

* Good finance knowledge (accounts payable, invoicing, Goods Receipting , SAP experience etc.)
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, attention to detail
* Good general IT skills with the ability to use programmes in the Microsoft Office Package at a basic level (mainly Excel and Outlook)
* Great problem-solving skills
* Tenacity in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively manage high-volume tasks
