We’re on a journey to unlock the potential in all of us, by creating products, services and experiences that help make the world of work more fun and fulfilling. To do this, we needed someone who shared this vision and who could help steer us on this journey.
We’re delighted that Melanie Forbes, thought leader and role model in the recruitment industry, has joined Rullion as Group Managing Director. Mel has been with Rullion for just over four months and is already having significant impact on the way we operate, improving and enhancing Rullion from the inside out.
We spoke with Mel to find out more about her career, her passions, and why she decided to join Rullion.
I’ve worked in the recruitment industry for over 25 years, both in the UK and internationally, and I’m driven by making sure when I do eventually leave the Industry, I leave it in a much better place than how I found it.
My passion for building long lasting partnerships with clients is one of the many reasons I was attracted to Rullion. The business is built on creating long term value not short-term profits, a strong heritage and a solid reputation. I wanted to play a key part in leading the Company on to the next chapter.
Alongside my different roles throughout my career, I’m proud to be an active member of the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative, which challenges old resourcing practices to change, in order to better serve the specific needs of disabled talent in finding work.
I have always been active in supporting and developing fellow females into reaching their full potential. I know from experience the challenges faced by women in reaching leadership roles, and I’m proud to have supported a number of colleagues in gaining their seat at the table.
I decided to join Rullion as I was inspired by their story. Their history and the relationships that they’ve built with clients is inspiring, and the journey that the Company is undertaking is set to revolutionise the recruitment industry. Not only this, but Rullion’s values closely match my own, which was a key driver for me. My goal at Rullion is to make my colleagues proud of me, to make them proud of each other and the things that we will achieve together. I’m really looking forward to building strong relationships with people across the business, helping to build the foundations for strong growth.
