Position: Contract
Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC) site, Somerset

Duration: 12 Month Rolling

Rate: £335 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // £447 p/d Umbrella

Job Purpose

Operational Control Centre (OCC) is seeking Work Management Engineers to play pivotal roles in delivering Commissioning/Pre-operations (Comm-op's) on HPC. As part of the team, you will contribute to developing and implementing Work Management processes and tools essential for HPC's safe and effective operation.

About the Role

As a Work Management Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement Work Management processes and tools.
  • Gain valuable experience working within HPC Operational Control Centre and the Work Management programme.
  • Provide technical oversight during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare for the technical responsibility for designated systems from Commissioning to Handover to Pre-operations.

Principal Accountabilities

Reporting to the Work Management lead and/or OCC lead/Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the commissioning team to improve process efficiency and deliverables.
  • Specifying Commissioning work order cards and resolving open points problems.
  • Supporting the development of routine maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management System.
  • Providing input into the development of standards, procedures, and arrangements supporting safe and reliable operation and maintenance activities.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Science and/or engineering background with a relevant degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent.
  • Experience in operating asset management tools and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in writing maintenance instructions in a regulated industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Manuals, System Design Manuals, and Engineering Drawings.
  • Organisational and IT skills.
  • Clear written communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with commissioning processes or activities on a nuclear site.
  • Understanding of WANO AP928 document and other work management processes.
  • Awareness of nuclear power station license conditions and compliance regulations.
