Exciting Opportunity: Site Operations Temporary Utilities Coordination Delivery Lead

Job Overview

Are you ready to play a crucial role in one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects? Join us at Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Power Station as the Site Operations Temporary Utilities Coordination Delivery Lead. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all temporary utility application requests received by Site Operations, ensuring efficient delivery in accordance with safety, quality, time, and cost parameters.

Contextual Information

The HPC project is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring immediate attention to unplanned works such as transport, catering, and utilities provision. As part of the Site Operations team, you will integrate with contractors and other site-based teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Principal Accountabilities

As the Temporary Utilities Coordination Delivery Lead, you will:

• Manage the provision of critical site support services to a construction workforce of circa 5,600.
• Directly oversee a specific service contract valued at circa £80m (full project lifecycle).
• Address construction engineering concerns and develop effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and site controls.
• Foster effective relationships with service contract partners, championing clarity, respect, positivity, humility, and integrity.
• Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets project work schedule expectations.
• Monitor compliance works acceptance by contractors and expedite timely completion of deliverables.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Management or leadership experience in a service lead environment.
• City & Guilds - Electrical Installation - Parts1 and 2.
• Technical understanding of 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations and British standards.
• Experience in high-security environments and willingness to work in a dynamic setting.
• Proven track record in large project environments with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to strike effective working relationships and collaborate with the local supply chain.

Desirable:

• Experience in electrical and mechanical utilities distribution, including 11kV/400V substations.
• Budget management experience and certification in Behavioural Safety Programme.
• Recent IOSH accreditation or equivalent.
