Job Title: Customer Service Advisor

Duration: 3 months (ongoing)

Job Type: Temporary Contract

Location: Manchester City Centre (Office-Based)

Pay Rate: £11.98 per hour (PAYE)

Start Date: 13th May 2024

Background Checks: DBS and Basic Credit Check Required

Role Overview:

Join the Coop Group in Manchester as a Customer Service Advisor and become an integral part of their dynamic team in central Manchester. In this role, you will provide invaluable customer support across Coop's Membership & Ecommerce/Food departments. While comprehensive training will be provided, a solid understanding of IT systems and previous experience in a contact centre or customer-facing role are essential.

The office is conveniently located just 2 minutes away from Victoria train and tram station and 3 minutes away from Shudehill bus station. We offer state-of-the-art facilities, including a fully equipped gym, coffeehouse, as well as a shop and post office.

Working Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis.
  • 2 weekends being worked in every 6 week period, on either a 09:00:17:00 shift or 12:00-20:00
  • 2 weeks of late shifts between Monday to Friday of either 12:00-20:00 or 14:00-22:00
  • All other shifts are currently 09:00-17:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound queries from customers, members, colleagues, and suppliers using various systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through multiple channels, including phone, email, social media, and letters.
  • Utilize your initiative to determine the most appropriate approach for each case, escalating complex issues to other teams and senior colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Co-op's products, systems, and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering an outstanding level of customer service with every interaction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in general IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word).
