Job Description

/Job title: Area Construction Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £50,000-£65,000 Depending on experience
Location: Seascale/Whitehaven
Hours of work: 38 hours Mon-Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- CDM 2015 regulations experience
- Stakeholder management skills
- 5+ years of experience within construction
- 5+ years of experience in nuclear or another highly regulated industry
- SMSTS/CITB Temporary works coordinator training course - Desirable
- Black CSCS card - Desirable
- Degree/ONC/HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, EC&I or Civil)

Ideally applicants should also have:
- Chartership status

Role information:

- Oversee the management of the CDM regulations
- Liaise with contractors and clients
- Liaise with design teams to ensure CDM regulations are being adhered to during the design process
- Take control of the construction phase plan
- Ensure contractors are compliant with regulations and work scope needs
- Coach health and safety personnel on CDM regulations
- Highlight and raise any issues to the site manager
