Job Description

Job title: Criticality Assessor
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable (DOE)
Location: Reading
Hours of work: 40 hours Mon-Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Familiarity with UK and international standards and practices
- Nuclear criticality safety assessment experience
- Experience of relevant code application
- Knowledge of nuclear hazard identification and analysis tools
- Ability to gain SC and DV clearance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Ideally applicants should also have:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent in science

Role information:
- Undertake relevant criticality assessment activities
- Act as support to the safety case manager
- Support other safety case and engineering leads when needed
- Assist in the capability development, establishment and implementation of resource strategies and recruitment plans
- Advise on regulatory compliance, standards and guidance
- Liaise with suppliers, regulators and safety committees
