Duration: Up to Dec 2024 (Extension possible beyond this)

Pay rate: Up to £23.73ph PAYE depending on experience (£31.73ph Umbrella rate)

Location: Gloucester Business Park (1-2 days per week remote working)

Hours of work: 5 days per week (37 hours per week)

Our client, a prominent player in the nuclear generation sector, is currently seeking a Supply Chain Governance Specialist to join their team at Gloucester Business Park. You will be joining a specialised team that sets, oversees and manages Supply Chain arrangements, processes and polices to ensure the highest standard of operation, compliance and practice. The role involves providing supply chain governance and business improvement projects and actions, oversight, and supporting supply chain personnel within the Generation and Defueling business unit. The Supply Chain Governance specialist will do this by contributing to the development, improvement and implementation of processes, arrangements, policies and performance enhancements that supports the supply chain function delivering a best in class service for existing and new nuclear operations across the UK.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

  • Experience within a Supply Chain related role within a regulated industry.
  • Experience within and or contract management, procurement, materials and inventory management, procurement engineering.
  • Proven ability to review and improve working practices, arrangements, processes and systems.
  • Proven experience in solving hard problems with novel solutions to provide business and customer benefit.
  • Precious experience of good stakeholder management.
  • A proven team player with the ability to support others as well as deliver on their own initiative.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to formally present to other stakeholders using IT systems e.g. PowerPoint, excel, word etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication, influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to promote effective teamwork whilst holding initiative to work on your own accord.

Role information:

  • Assist in developing and executing the Generation Supply Chain Governance Strategy.
  • Support in the development, implementation, and promotion of business improvement initiatives.
  • Compile, publish, interpret to generate insight and intelligence and distribute key performance information to relevant departments/stakeholders.
  • Assist the business in obtaining, assuring and maintaining high level of supply chain standards.
  • Oversee the vendor database.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders both internally and externally to fulfil responsibilities effectively.
  • Lead, contribute to fleet-wide meetings providing advice, support and supporting in problem solving to develop optimal solutions.
  • Support the delivery of training and development programs related to Supply Chain activities.
