The Remote Applications in Challenging Environment (RACE) team are part of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), producing remote handling equipment for fusion and non-fusion applications in challenging environments.
They produce cutting edge robotics, autonomous systems and remote handling technology, all of which do vital work in helping the world achieve a carbon-free future. They are the UK’s leading producer of these technologies and are at the forefront of what the world of tomorrow looks like.
At RACE, you’ll be working on software solutions for some of the world’s leading engineering projects, including maintenance of the JET nuclear fusion reactor, and will be a vital part of the team and the work they do.
