Job Description

Job title: Cost Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 15 months
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits:
£49.73 Umbrella
£37.01 PAYE
Location: Reading
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Ability to gain SC clearance
- Chartership or professional qualification
- Proven success in a project controls environment or similar cost role on a major construction project
- Proficient with technology such as cost tools, Microsoft Excel and IT software
- Able to build good business relations
- Able to motivate and build teams
Ideally applicants should also have:

- SC on start

Role information:

- Support the SPI, CPI variance and root cause analysis including input to the narrative, recommendations and recovery planning according to the monthly timescale reports
- Assist in the creation of the project cost breakdown structure
- Assist the preparation of cost studies
- Provide data for benchmarking activities
- Review manpower productivity and time bookings
- Identify resource constraints
