Job Description

Job title: Criticality Safety Discipline Lead
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Negotiable (DOE)
Location: Reading
Hours of work: 40 hours Mon-Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Relevant degree or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of nuclear and conventional fire safety assessment and nuclear safety assessment and management
- Experience leading a team
- Knowledge of nuclear hazard identification and analytical tools
- Understanding of nuclear safety assessment principles and regulatory guidelines
- Ability to gain SC and DV clearance
- Experience in a supervisory role

Ideally applicants should also have:
- Experience of safety case in civils and defense
- Experience of international nuclear safety assessment and project controls

Role information:
- Implement and monitor project specific management and technical arrangements
- Coordinate assessment and analysis delivery for projects
- Advice on regulatory standards, guidance and compliance
- Assist safety case assurance through the project
- Liaise with all related functions to ensure works are completed to spec
- Liaise with regulators and safety committees
