Meet John Hitchenor

I joined Rullion in 1989 as Sales Consultant, hitting my annual target seven times and generating at least one placement per month for a consecutive period of four years. I’ve since travelled through the ranks as a Senior Consultant, Regional Manager, Sales Director and Managing Director, before moving into my current role of Executive Director.
I enjoy a great work/life balance at Rullion. I’ve always been given a degree of autonomy, meaning that I’m always willing to put in the long hours. I love that Rullion is a family run company with great values and it helps that some of my colleagues are some of my best friends too.

I returned to rullion in January 2016 having previously worked here in 2004. I joined as a Senior Recruitment Consultant and have since been promoted to a Business Manager where I manage a team of consultants covering London and Home Counties within Information Security on both a contract and permanent basis.
I returned to Rullion as I found it to have a great culture that I never found anywhere else. They have a great team and everyone not only gets rewarded for the work they are doing but you are also recognised within the business. There is lots of support in the team at all different levels and the management definitely have an open door policy. I joined Rullion to support the business vision and strategy to develop a Niche recruitment team and become one of the most admired recruitment companies globally. Since joining I have been part of shaping the Niche Talent brand which sits within the Rullion Group specialising in 3 key verticals: Business Change & Transformation, Information Security and Business Intelligence & Data.
I love the company ethos, culture and people. I joined Rullion to help the business develop a specialist recruitment team to recruit for marketing professionals initially within the North West. During my time within the business, I have been able to make the foundations of a solid business whilst forging long term relationships with some exciting businesses. With a focus on providing a quality service, we are now seeing more clients and candidates actively approaching us to work with them.
It is refreshing to work within an organisation where you feel genuinely valued and supported. With a great amount of autonomy, this has enabled me to develop the Rullion Marketing business in the way that I feel is right for the market.
