Case Study: Large Retail Bank
When Barclays Bank Plc was faced with the challenge of finding suitable candidates for the Head of Global Databases, Rullion’s Leadership Practice was given exclusivity over the search.The most challenging element of this search was that the vast majority of senior Financial Services professionals were likely to reside in London, due to the concentration of financial companies based within the capital.
Knowing that London was looking like a probable location to find the right individual, this is where the Rullion Leadership Practice’s search began. The more difficult element, however, would be finding someone of the right calibre who was also ready for a change of lifestyle and willing to relocate to the North.

Rullion produced a booklet which highlighted the benefits of living and working the North West of England, plus the added benefits of working for one of the largest national banks, Barclays Bank Plc.
Following an exhaustive search, we were able to uncover a candidate with the required credentials; he lived in London and was looking to relocate to the North West. Personal circumstances meant that he required regular flights and ferries to Dublin, but more importantly he had exceptional technical skills that meant he was perfect for the vacancy with Barclays.
Following the pre-agreed interview process that Rullion had Barclays, the candidate was made an offer and accepted the role.
