Join the Team Delivering the UK's Energy Future.
We're recruiting for an Electrically Biased Construction Delivery Manager to support the delivery of the UK's most ambitious clean energy megaproject - Hinkley Point C (HPC). With the project moving into its Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) phase, we are now seeking experienced Electrical professionals to help deliver low-voltage (LV) infrastructure, temporary power systems, power earthing, and enabling works.
This is a prime opportunity to join a world-class project that is redefining the UK's future energy supply, where your technical expertise and leadership will have a lasting national impact.
Overview
As an Electrically Biased Construction Delivery Manager, you'll take a hands-on approach to site-based supervision, coordination, and contractor engagement. You'll lead on the electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and The Electricity at Work Regulations, with a focus on construction site LV networks, earthing systems, and temporary installations across both HPC units.
Principal Accountabilities
* Lead daily on-site coordination and delivery of electrical works packages including LV systems, earthing, and enabling power installations.
* Act as a key point of contact between Tier 1 contractors, safety, logistics, and project control teams.
* Ensure installations meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards - especially in line with BS 7671 and CDM requirements.
* Manage site documentation, daily logs, and reports, escalating issues to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager where necessary.
* Attend and contribute to PLOD/PLOW coordination meetings; deliver key site messages and ensure contractor alignment.
* Conduct safety and quality inspections to support HSPI targets, working collaboratively with wider project functions.
* Assist with site logistics and tactical planning alongside delivery leads.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
* Extensive experience delivering electrical installation works in heavy industrial or energy sector environments.
* Proven knowledge of CDM Regulations and electrical compliance on construction sites.
* Strong background in substation, temporary power, or power generation environments.
* SMSTS or IOSH certified.
* Strong stakeholder coordination skills with the ability to motivate contractors and manage delivery expectations.
* Electrical Engineering or Construction Management qualification OR extensive vocational experience.
Desirable
* Familiarity with BS 7375 - Code of practice for electrical distribution on construction sites.
* Nuclear experience is highly advantageous but can be offset by power generation or high-spec new build infrastructure experience.
* Experience operating within a high-security, regulated project environment.
Why Join Hinkley Point C?
* Play a pivotal role in one of Europe's largest low-carbon energy projects.
* Be part of a world-class engineering and delivery team.
* Long-term work stability on a high-profile, nationally significant infrastructure project.
* Accommodation support and allowances for non-local professionals.
* Career-defining opportunity with exposure to major nuclear construction methodology.
