JOB TITLE: Laboratory analyst
LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire
SALARY: £15.70 per hr (paye)
Full Time / Monday-Friday / 8am till 4pm
12 month contract

The Role:
To perform chemical and physical analysis to ensure the quality of nuclear fuel & accurate residue characterisation. As an experienced Laboratory analyst, you will be responsible for: General Laboratory duties, including calibration of equipment, production of solutions used in the laboratory. Result entry. Maintaining records and technical documents to the ISO 17025 standard. Techniques employed. MC-ICP-MS, ICP-MS, XRF, UV-VIS spectrometry, auto & manual titration, ISE, IC, Combustion techniques, TGA, BET SSA, Karl Fischer moisture titration.

Must Haves:
Previous experience within a Laboratory is essential.
HNC in chemistry or physics.
Experience of working in a UKAS or nuclear laboratory desirable.
