The Role

As a direct report to the NI Area, Site & Civils Director this is a key leadership position within the Delivery organisation. You will be responsible for the direction and leadership of all activities required for the integrated delivery of scope assigned to their sub-areas, from design through to handover of the plant, in accordance with the overall Project schedule. You will support the NI Area, Site & Civils Director in the delivery of the overall delivery Area to the HPC schedule.

This will include the full lifecycle delivery of contracts directly assigned to their sub-areas and the integration of Site wide transverse contract scope through their leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (MDT).

Under delegation from the NI Area, Site & Civils Director you will lead the delivery of agreed scope within the NI Area. To do this you will perform several key roles but be principally accountable for ensuring, through your leadership of MDTs, the successful coordinated delivery across the sub-area lifecycle of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning sequences and activities required to deliver the HPC schedule.

The Skills

· Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Project Management and hold a Professional Qualification as APM PPQ or other recognised qualification. Together with a Degree and chartered status in construction, engineering or other relevant discipline, a Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of EPR design is essential.
· Proven extensive experience in delivering major projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment is critical to this role.
· We are looking for someone who has great leadership behaviour and management qualities, working knowledge of either/or NEC and FIDIC contract arrangements; and knowledge and understanding of the significance of quality and assurance within the nuclear setting.
· This Post has nuclear safety responsibilities ("roles") which could have an impact on nuclear safety through the activities that they perform. These are detailed in the Nuclear Baseline.
