Job Description
Job Title: Stores Person
Rullion is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced stores operative to become part of an established rolling stock company based out of their Oxley depot in Wolverhampton. You will play a pivotal role working as part of the logistics team who play a key part in ensuring correct provisions are in place for the maintenance teams of a High-Speed locomotive fleet.
Contract, 6 Month
Shift Pattern: Days,
Mon - Fri 07:00 - 15:00 (one day per week will be from 12:00 to 20:00)
£25.43 / £30.54 per hour (Umbrella)
£20.42 / £23.18 per hour (PAYE)
Please be aware that this position is subject to IR35 regulations, which means that we do not engage with Limited Companies for this role.
Note, our Client operates a strict Zero-Tolerance Drug and Alcohol policy - successful candidates will be required to take a Drug & Alcohol Test before starting on site.
Purpose of the role:
As part of Rolling Stocks & Services, the responsibility of this post is to provide an efficient and effectively recording all essential information on inventory stock levels, work orders, and tracking of serialised equipment. The individual will handle all daily logistics activities, including off-loading, goods receipt, and material issuing, following standard procedures to ensure asset management system data integrity. Additionally, you will coordinate with Production to manage the Maximo Maintenance System effectively.
Requirements:
* Education: 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
* Licenses: Ideally holds current Counter Balance and Flexi Truck licenses.
* Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a stores or warehouse environment.
* System Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP and Maximo systems.
* Skills: Strong communication skills for liaising with other departments and suppliers; proficiency with IT tools such as Excel, Word, and MS Office
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
* Efficiently create, update, and complete MAXIMO work orders to maintain data accuracy and provide production teams with necessary documentation. Support historical analysis of completed work orders.
* Conduct general Stores tasks including off-loading, goods receipt, material location, and issuing. Operate handling equipment to safely support Stores and Production needs.
* Perform accurate material quantity audits and promptly update IT systems to reflect audit outcomes.
* Process unserviceable materials for return to repair agents, handling packaging, labelling, and documentation.
* Maintain 5S housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe, organised work space, and collaborate on improvements to storage practices and material flow.
