Job Description
Role: Repairs Engineer
Location: Lincoln - 2 days a week in office
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Negotiable DOE
About the role
We are looking for a professional to support the Repair Engineering team of our clients Gas Turbine Product Line.
Snapshot of your day
You will support the creation and ongoing development of repair processes. You will work across the fleet of Gas Tubrine products. You will analyse data of inspected/assessed hardware, determine the requirements for component re-use and/or its repair, working alongside our overhauls, materials labs and engineering colleagues. This information will be documented and compiled into a repair scheme and will also be presented for engineering approval to our Chief Engineers and Product owners.
How you'll make an impact
- Identify and develop cost reduction opportunities using SAP and through ongoing liaison with our Engineering facility colleagues.
- Make engineering recommendations based on investigation of hardware condition.
- Review and develop criteria for re-use and repair.
- Perform technical package activities in support of overhaul and "in-field maintenance" processes.
- Write, revise and maintain repair documents.
- The role will typically require at least 1-2 days a week in the office.
What you Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering OR relevant experience preferable.
- Knowledge of gas turbine operation and maintenance, ideally SGT, preferable.
- Proven record of implementing technical solutions and improvements.
- Working to processes and procedures.
- Able to contribute to a team environment.
- Experience of working in the Repairs field is desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
- Computer literate and experienced in Microsoft office suite, PLM and SAP.
