Applicants must have experience of the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
* Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems, including but not limited to machinery, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
* Develop and execute maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
* Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and recommend improvements for the overall mechanical infrastructure.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operators, technicians, and management, to coordinate maintenance activities and optimise productivity.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history.
* Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in mechanical maintenance techniques.
