Project Engineer £27,000 - £48,000
Project Manager £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Barrow In Furness
Hours of work: 37 hours

The Role:
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineers & Project Managers working within the Nuclear & Defence Sectors. As a Project Engineer or Project Manager, you will play a key role in the successful execution of our engineering projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
* Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
* Monitor project progress and identify potential issues, taking proactive steps to resolve them.
Technical Expertise:
* Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
* Conduct engineering analysis and calculations as needed.
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure project specifications are met.
Resource Allocation:
* Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently.
* Manage subcontractors and vendors as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
* Implement quality control processes to ensure that projects meet industry standards and client requirements.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
Communication:
* Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management.
* Prepare and present project status reports and updates.
Risk Management:
* Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Documentation:
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Ensure all project records are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications/Experience required:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
* 3+ years of experience in project engineering or project manager role.
* Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
