Job Description

Job title: Principal EC&I Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Salary/ / Benefits: Negotiable depending on experience , life insurance scheme , pension scheme
Location: Preston
Hours of work: 37 hours per week , Monday -Friday
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 8 years working within highly regulated industry , 5 years within nuclear
- Experienced working to the principal level as an EC&I Engineer
- Comfortable in checking gable calculations , block and single line diagrams.
- Worked within the full project and design lifecycle.
- Familiar with the 18th edition electrical standards.
- Comfortable in leading and managing a team through a project.
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Charted status
- SC cleared.

Role information: Provide a brief description of the role and expectations
The principal EC&I engineer will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of engineers throughout a nuclear project and ensure that the requirement of the project is met. The engineer will be the point of authority for the project and will have regular communication with members of the team. In addition to this they will ensure that all block and single line diagrams are met to the requirements.
