Job title: Mechanical designer

Start date: ASAP - subject to clearance.

Location: Preston
Hours of work: 37hrs Mon-Fri
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- NVQ qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Auto CAD experience
Candidates would ideally have:
be proficient in the design of chemical plant or material handling equipment and services. Must have experience of working within multidiscipline teams engaged in the design and construction, typically within nuclear or chemical process plants. Nuclear site experience preferred, but not essential

Role information:

Mechanical Designer / Draftsman required for design modifications to existing plant.
To have a bias towards chemical engineering or material handling equipment, working as part of a design team in the development and delivery of design proposals from conception through to final hand-over. This will involve the generation of equipment specifications, tender initiation and assessment, detail design, commissioning documentation and hand-over documentation in accordance with project time-scales. Required to visit plant and produce AutoCAD drawings for review by the Design Engineer.
