Job Title; Customer Service Advisor

Job Type; Temporary Contract

Location; Office Based in Manchester City Centre

Pay Rate; £10.19 per hour PAYE

Working Hours:

You will be required to work on a rotational basis of 37.5 hours per week with shift patterns varying between the hours of 8.00am- 10.00pm.

Weekend Working is required, Every Saturday & Sunday during busy periods with pre-arranged lieu days in the week. During quieter periods candidates will be expected to work 2 in 4 weekends * Please note this is dependant on workload and cannot be guaranteed.

You will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

Role Overview

My Client, Coop Group in Manchester are recruiting Customer Services Advisors to join their offices in central Manchester.

You will be working in a state-of-the-art office based 2 minutes away from Victoria train and tram station and 3 minutes away from Shudehill bus station. The office has a fully equipped gym and 2 restaurants and coffeehouses in addition to an onsite shop and post office.

The role involves providing customer support across Coop's Funeralcare & Ecommerce departments.

Full training will be provided however you will need a good understanding of IT systems and previous experience in a contact centre environment or customer facing role is essential.


  • Providing a first call resolution to client queries over the phone and via email
  • Answering calls to make initial arrangements to bring deceased into our care
  • Administration duties


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good IT skills with knowledge of using Excel, Microsoft Office 365
  • Previous experience of working in a contact centre environment or customer facing role
  • Confident telephone manner
