Job Description

Type: 6 month contract (Will also consider permanent applicants)
IR35 status: Inside (PAYE/Umbrella)
Hours: Mon-Fri - Approx 40 hours

Role information:
The Senior Process Engineer reports to a Team Leader and collaborates with all stakeholders cross discipline to achieve 'best for project' outcomes.


  • Develop process design, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water & wastewater design projects.
  • Preparation & checking of mass balances, P&IDs, process unit sizing, pumped systems, equipment data sheets and control documents
  • Input to mechanical and civil layouts & arrangements
  • Input to electrical design and specifications
  • Work with Project Managers and Project Engineers in co-ordinating multidiscipline projects
  • Work directly with clients in design meetings and technical discussions
  • Provide and coordinate construction phase technical support for projects under construction
  • Assisting & participating in scope derivation and presenting proposals and cost estimates to prospective clients
  • Providing ongoing consulting services to established clients
  • Continuously networking with colleagues and peers across company & in the industry

Applicants will have the following:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation with the IChemE.
  • Experience in mentoring junior members of the team
  • A knowledge of practices and procedures used within the water, chemical, manufacturing or energy sectors would be an advantage
  • Experience of water & wastewater process design and construction project support experience.
  • Good understanding of treatment processes, ancillary equipment, chemical dosing and control systems for water industry projects
  • Track record of delivering an exceptional client experience to contractors and end clients.
  • Flexible with great communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
