Document Controller

Experienced Document Controller required to provide Document Control services to one of our major projects.

The role would include knowledge sharing and up-skilling more junior Document Controllers as well educating the project technical and management teams on the importance of good document control practices.

Day to day tasks include but not limited to; managing the current CDE (ASITE). Liaising with Technical Leads, Contractors and Management team to support them with their requirements and ensure an auditable workflow. Provide Project specific Work Instructions/Procedures for Document Control and give the project team a good understanding of the importance and benefits of a well-managed document control process.

This role will site within the PfMO Department at UKAEA and matrixed into major projects within the organization.

Experience Required

At least 2-3 Years experience using all aspects of Asite as a document management tool.

3-5 years' experience working in Document Management in Engineering Projects and/or Manufacturing environment.

Experience and evidence of developing document control procedures and processes. Knowledgeable on ISO 19650 & 19001

Expert knowledge of ASITE and its implementation on a large technical project. Good basic knowledge of SharePoint.

Excellent knowledge of quality and the importance of traceability of all project documentation. Awareness of the implications of errors in document management.

Full understanding of project life cycles

Organised with excellent attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A high standard of professionalism with a 'can-do' approach

A proactive team member that's confident working remotely as well as on site.

Experience of end of project handover and archiving procedures

Familiar with large scale engineering projects in highly regulated industries

Competent with all aspects of Office365.

Educated to A-Level Standard or above.

This is a Hybrid role and requires on site 2 - 3 days (Preferably 3 days).
