Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Routine Maintenance Co-ordinator on behalf of United Utilities. This is a 12 month temporary positions working 37 hours per week - location can be flexible across the North West providing candidates are able to travel to various sites if required. The role will consist of both office based and home based working.

The Routine Maintenance Co-ordinator is a key role which reports to the Programme Delivery Manager within Integrated Network Programme Delivery. You will act as a focal point/co-ordinator for routine inspections
or maintenance and serviceability work for all assets on the Ww Network. This includes, but not limited to, planned cyclic sewer cleansing, planned cyclic pumping station wet well and detention tank cleaning, planned inspection and routine maintenance of non-linear assets e.g. non-powered ancillaries and mitigation assets. Once the programme has been approved you will ultimately be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of all approved routine inspections or maintenance and serviceability activities (OPEX/CAPEX) working with multiple delivery partners (internal and external) within an agreed geographic area ensuring programmes are optimised to be delivered to time, cost and quality (TCQi)

Job Accountabilities

Co-ordination of the effective delivery of all cyclical maintenance, routine inspections and serviceability improvement programmes within a Drainage Area
Support the Drainage Area Office as required to develop a prioritised planned programme for a geographical area that balances customer requirements, operational performance (in terms of ODI), compliance and health and safety needs within the given financial constraints.
Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of the planned programme including organising access where necessary..
Responsible for the successful delivery of the routine maintenance inspections and prompt reporting of remedial action for all assets associated with Bathing Waters within a geographic area of responsibility prior to the Bathing Water season
Monitor the progress of all cyclical maintenance, routine inspections and serviceability improvement programmes within a geographical area of responsibility.
Use of technical and commercial knowledge to approve cost increase notifications following change in project scope where required
Provide technical expertise to support the resolution of all issues, queries and customer complaints relating to the routine inspections, cyclical maintenance and serviceability programmes within a geographic area and escalate issues as appropriate
Support the Systems/Data Support teams to ensure that all our corporate systems are updated in a timely manner e.g. Sewnet, CPMS, SAP, Work Planning Database, Mitigation Database, AIMS, and CRM and the data is up to date, reliable, accurate and complete
Ensure all new registered assets are added to cyclic programmes and any changes to inspection/ maintenance frequencies are implemented in a timely manner
Co-ordinate and progress S159 notices to land owners and/or occupiers for gaining access to private land, as required.
Produce all relevant information associated with the programme to allow the cyclic routine inspections, planned desilting and cyclic maintenance activities to be priced as accurately as possible.
Support the Programme Delivery Managers in populating the monthly performance packs and scorecard data
Support Production Planning and Delivery and field teams as required and attend any operational meetings to support the Programme Delivery Managers.

Knowledge and Skills

Education to Level 4 i.e. HND or HNC equivalent
Extensive knowledge and practical experience of wastewater network assets and operations
Knowledge and understanding of our regulatory contract with Ofwat
Knowledge of Health and Safety standards, including CDM Regulations and NRSWA
Cost control skills/experience
Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications are essential and the ability to analyse sets of data
Good presentation, communication and influencing skills
Very good planning and prioritisation skills are essential
Strong customer focus and experience of dealing with customers
Experience of dealing with multiple contractors and in house teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Extensive knowledge and experience of current wastewater maintenance contracts and commercial awareness
Experience of using systems and databases such as SAP, AIMS, GIS, Sewer Viewer, WPD (Work Planning Database); Mitigation Database, WIRS; Sewnet; Searchlight, AR/DR
Full UK Drivers Licence
