Job Description

We are working with United Utilities to recruit a Marketing and Communications Project Lead to join their team on a 12-month contract basis initially. The role is based in their office in Great Sankey, Warrington but may involve elements of both office and home working during the current Covid-19 pandemic, applicants must be flexible to do both.

The role holder will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing collateral and campaigns within local communities across the North West. These campaigns aim to raise awareness of customer behaviours around the home that can lead to sewer blockages and more widely pollution and encourage customers to change behaviours.

Accountabilities
• To work with the wastewater marketing manager and the operational strategy team to develop and execute a hot spot plan which targets activity across a number of channels, above and below the line, to raise awareness of issues within a specific community and how customers can help by changing flushing and pouring behaviours
• To liaise with and manage campaign deliverables through external agencies
• To work with internal Wastewater Network teams to ensure campaigns are aligned to business objectives
• To liaise with teams across the wider business to manage external/internal awareness of the campaign
• To develop and manage social media content/calendar for campaigns
• To manage the production and delivery of campaign collateral such as leaflets/letter drops/posters/event materials
• To track budget spend for each campaign
• To track and evaluate the reach and customer engagement with the campaign

Knowledge and Skills
• Educated to degree level
• An experienced and qualified marketer with at least five years' experience of working in a marketing/communications role or creative/comms/PR agency.
• Proven experience of developing and running successful public facing campaigns which are designed to raise awareness within the community and stimulate customers to make a change

Desirable Criteria
• Knowledge of digital optimisation and execution
• Great copy writing skills
• A desire to develop new innovative and creative campaigns

Additional Information
• This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
• This role requires a full UK driving license
